Our Mission

Mottronix was founded to solve AI’s biggest limitation: its unsustainable energy consumption. Our team of pioneering engineers and physicists came together to create fundamentally new electronic components based on Mott Insulator quantum materials, that bring performance and sustainability into one chip. We’re here to make quantum materials the new standard for low power AI.

Our Vision

We will break through the limits of Von Neumann architecture thanks to quantum materials (Mott Insulators) in order to gain >10 000 times energy and push the boundaries of Edge-AI.

Roots

The startup is the result of twenty years of joint research on Mott-insulator materials, between internationally recognized RTOs CNRS & Nantes University, at Institut des Materiaux de Nantes Jean Rouxel (IMN).
