Franck Grimaud

Franck Grimaud holds a MBA from the University of Ottawa, Canada. He is the former co-founder & CEO of Valneva, a 700-employee biotechnology company that he co-founded in 1999, which today generates approximately €200 million in revenue and is listed on Euronext and Nasdaq (Market capitalization of $1 bn/Q1 2026). In addition to growing the company up to 2025, Franck has secured numerous partnerships and technology licensing agreements with global pharmaceutical industry leaders. He established Valneva’s commercial network in North America, Europe and Asia and managed several major fundraising rounds and an IPO. He is also the President of the Atlanpole Biotherapies cluster (>200 biotech, med-tech, and e-health-tech members) and Chairman of the Supervisory board committee for the Pays de la Loire Participation fund.
